The Viking Silver Spirit of the Sea Ring is made from Sterling Silver. I cut it from a sheet of silver and cut all the 'waves' out. I then hammer it into this free and open ring.
The Vikings first came to Ireland in the in the 9th Century. In 795 AD they began to raid our shores in their longships. This continued until Brian Boru High King Of Ireland defeated them at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014.
Many Vikings settled in Ireland and their customs and skills in silver metal work became ours.
Your Viking Silver Spirit of the Sea Ring is a unique piece and made for you once you place your order.
The Atlantic Ocean is just a few minutes walk down the road from the studio in Connemara and this is where I brought the ring to photograph.
